Portfolio Perspective Interactive Edition™™ (PPie™) is the industry's first software solution that allows individual users to quickly assess portfolio irregularities, perform damage calculations, and create their own portfolio reports and analyses. Portfolio Perspective Interactive Edition™™ puts the user in direct control of the entire P&L process with a menu driven interface to allow users to generate their own P&L analysis, or run your own customized analyses with the data processed by SFS.

Using PPie™

1. Upon request, SFS will send you the data sets for your account(s) via electronic email. There will be two files for each account. From your email application, save all of the data files you receive to a location on your system. Please note that these files are not designed to be opened directly from email or by double-clicking on them.

2. Open PPie™. If prompted for a registration code enter: 123-198506NO.

3. Go to File->Import Account. Navigate to the folder where you saved the PPie™ data files. Select one of the files. PPie™ will automatically open both to ensure correct processing.

4. PPie™ will bring up windows showing the importing of your data. Please note that PPie™ will appear to import your data twice.

5. When PPie™ stops importing your data each account is ready for processing. You may wish to immediately begin the Buy/Sell Matching (Process->Buy/Sell Matching) as it is needed for many of the reports.

OPEN MARKET DATES FROM THE DOW INDEX

Required file download for the correct operation of Portfolio Perspective Interactive Edition™ (PPie™)

Open Market Dates from the Dow Index is needed for Portfolio Perspective IE™™ (PPie™) to work correctly. It is a database of the dates and closing values of the Dow Jones Industrial Index from 1901 to the present. PPie™™ uses this data to ensure that all transactions in the account happen on market dates by identifying the actual trade date of the transaction. This file is updated regularly by Secure Financial Services, Inc. on a monthly basis. You will want to make sure to have the most up-to-date version of this database so that new data sets you receive from SFS will work in PPie™.

Open Market Dates from the Dow Index is updated at the end of each month to include the most recent data available.

Downloading Instructions

• This file should be placed in the PPie™™ data directory.
• The default install directory for PPie™™ v. 1.3.5 and earlier* is c:\portpers\ie\data.
• The default install directory for PPie™™ 1.3.6 and later* is c:\program files\portfolio perspective\data.

*To find out what version PPie™™ you have when you are in the program go to ‘Help’ and then go to ‘About’.

PRELIMINARY ACCOUNT EVALUATION (PAE)

Available only through the SFS software on-demand service, the PAE provides a snapshot of account performance, without the time and expense of preparing a full P&L. In either an overall or yearly summary format, this analysis clearly presents an assortment of data from monthly account statements including cash balances, equity values, margin interest charges and other information to provide a concise report, detailing net out-of-pocket results and annualized portfolio turnover. The PAE quickly quantifies the relative performance of an investment account, enabling clients to determine the most appropriate course of action moving forward, at a minimal cost. The PAE can also be tailored to present essential data elements in a customized format to meet specific client needs.
